Armed Forces Chamber Supports Back-to-School Brigade at National Guard Facility

The Armed Forces Chamber proudly supported a successful back-to-school drive hosted by Operation Homefront at the North Las Vegas Readiness Center, a key training facility for members of the Nevada National Guard. The event brought together community members, local leaders, organizations, and military supporters to provide essential school supplies to local students and families.

Led by Operation Homefront in partnership with the Child & Youth Program of the Nevada National Guard, the drive distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to children of military families. Vendors were also present, offering information on resources ranging from education and health to family support services.

“The Armed Forces Chamber is honored to support this vital initiative that helps ensure students begin the school year ready to succeed,” said Andre’ Haynes, Founder and CEO of the Armed Forces Chamber. “It’s powerful to see the community unite around our youth, especially at a place like the Readiness Center that symbolizes service, strength, and commitment.”

Several distinguished guests and partner organizations joined the effort, including Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge Matthew Walker from Department 1, and local nonprofits and businesses such as the Richard Harris Law FirmCouponing for Students, Stuffed Bellies Hunger Relief Charity, Ephraims David Las Vegas USA, Strength and Flight, and Phi Nu Alpha Military Spouses Sorority, Inc., the Foster Care Chamber and The Sin City Kings - Royal Court XI of Mu Beta Phi Military Fraternity Inc. also contributed their time, donations, and support.

The event emphasized community collaboration, with military families, civilians, and local leaders working side-by-side. The presence of influential figures and charitable groups reflected a deep commitment to uplifting youth and supporting educational access.

The North Las Vegas Readiness Center, typically a hub for National Guard training, became a space of generosity and service to families in need. Through efforts like this, the Armed Forces Chamber continues to build bridges between the military and civilian communities.
