Armed Forces Chamber Celebrates Maroon Opening

The Armed Forces Chamber joined community leaders, invited guests, and hospitality executives in celebrating the grand opening of Maroon — A Caribbean Steakhouse by acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi at SAHARA Las Vegas, a proud member of the Armed Forces Chamber.

The grand opening celebration was held May 1 at SAHARA Las Vegas and introduced guests to a vibrant dining experience blending Caribbean-inspired cuisine with Moroccan culinary influences and cultural storytelling. Maroon introduces a unique concept combining Caribbean steakhouse dining with elevated Moroccan-inspired culinary elements inside one of the Las Vegas Strip’s premier resort destinations.

The celebration drew strong attendance from celebrities, influencers, hospitality leaders, elected officials, and community dignitaries including Busta Rhymes, Flavor Flav, Macy Gray, Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, global fashion designer David Farrakhan, Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge Matt Walker, Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom, and others.

Chef Kwame Onwuachi, known nationally for his award-winning culinary work, television appearances, and innovative approach to modern cuisine, welcomed guests during the evening as attendees enjoyed a high-energy atmosphere featuring networking, curated cocktails, music, entertainment, and previews of Maroon’s signature menu offerings.

Among those attending alongside the Armed Forces Chamber was Kesha Tatro, a producer and crew member for Hell’s Kitchen, Next Level Chef, and MasterChef.

Representatives from the Armed Forces Chamber praised SAHARA Las Vegas for its continued investment in hospitality, entertainment, dining, and tourism. The opening also reflects continued growth and investment within Southern Nevada’s hospitality industry.

The Armed Forces Chamber continues building partnerships with hospitality leaders, Las Vegas Strip resorts, and five-star restaurants by supporting grand openings, community engagement initiatives, and special events.
